The season 1 debut increased ratings in its time slot by 40% over the previous year, giving ABC its best Monday night December performance in over 5 years, and leading ABC to be the #1 broadcaster on Monday nights. Season 2 went on to outperform season 1, increasing ratings by 28%, with ratings surging week-to-week.
